Renewed Hope Agenda is delivering results in the South-East

The Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda is delivering results in the South-East through key infrastructure projects and social interventions, says Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris. Speaking at a town hall in Enugu with Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu NOA DG and other officials, he outlined reforms such as fuel subsidy removal, exchange rate unification, and targeted support to cushion economic impacts.

Idris highlighted benefits to the region, including rehabilitated primary healthcare centres, a new oncology and cancer centre in Enugu, and the Eastern Railway Corridor project. He urged entrepreneurs to tap into the ₦200bn business funds and support local products.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to transparency and economic growth, he cited stabilised food prices, improved forex markets, and positive global ratings toward a $1 trillion economy by 2030. The town hall moves to Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on Friday.
